The other cost involved is for space on a server to put the website (this is called web hosting). I can arrange comprehensive web hosting for as little as £20 a year. Again this is a recurring cost and a renewal reminder will be sent to the customer each year.
Once the website is set up, I charge a small yearly fee of £20 to support and manage the site. This includes support for you, the customer, by email, should you have any questions, or require any minor amendments.
When a potential customer expresses an interest in my services, I first determine the kind of website they require and then estimate the number of hours I think it will take to design their website. I then aim to carry out the work in or under the estimated time, so that costs do not increase. If, during the design, the customer changes the nature and complexity of the website, the original time estimate may need to be revised, but I would inform the customer of this, before proceeding with the extra work.
I can provide simple graphics and decorative text for a website. I can also integrate a customer's own logo and photographs into a website design. However, if more complex graphic design work is required, I have a number of contacts who can provide this feature at an additional cost.
